English Learning Journey
Ok, so I'm from America and since Pre-K the U.S school system has been teaching me English. I've also been in online places where most of the people were speaking English (American, British, Australian, ect). I write in my free time sometimes and try to use more distinguished language to make the writing seem more fancy. With all of this I'd say that I'm a bit above a native level, although I don't think I know enough to be at C2.
Edit: Trying to find some fancier words to work with in my head. Probably won't use them often in speech, but I might use them in writing.
Edit: I've been learning about poetry in my ELA class for the past couple of months and I think that it's been helping me with my English.
Edit: I got a 97% on my English finale :p
Spanish Learning Journey
Most of my family is Puerto Rican and I live in a place where there are a lot of Spanish speaking people. I speak Spanish often and can read and write in it, too. I'm sometimes in areas online where people are mostly speaking Spanish. I would put myself at the same level as my English level, C1, but I feel that I missed out on learning more Spanish writing and reading with having to teach myself it instead of my family teaching me. Plus I really only know Puerto Rican dialects of Spanish and not Mexican or Spain dialects of Spanish. I still do feel confident in my Spanish abilities, I'm just not as confident as I am in my English abilities.
Edit: I think I kinda lied when I said that I was as good at reading Spanish as I was writing in Spanish ;[ . I am focusing a bit on Spanish a bit more though.
Edit: I'm going to go a bit more into Spanish over the summer (2025).
